New Detective / Investigator Training

Police departments across the country do an excellent job preparing officers for patrol, but we tend to place new detectives in their new role with very little preparation. This course fills that gap. This course is specifically designed for new or recently assigned investigators. It provides an initial     orientation to the role of criminal investigator and the basic aspects and procedures of conducting an investigation. (24 hrs.)

Training topics will include:

  • Case management

  • Conducting interviews and interrogations

  • Working with the District Attorney’s office

  • Managing Informants

  • Search and Seizure overview

  • Crime scene management

  • Surveillance management

  • Warrants overview

  • Courtroom testimony

  • Plain clothes enforcement

Upon completion, attendees will be prepared to assume the role of detective with a solid foundation upon which to build. This is a three day class. Cost $495
